We visited Margerum, which was nice, but rather put in perspective the amazing Au Bon Climat, which was spectacular. Followed up with dinner at the Wine Cask. A charming way to do the cellar door thing without having to drive. The guts at ABC were really knowledgable and friendly, too.

Great wine, space & vibe.....and the corks on the bottles are "Brenna & Robbie" As members we come up to Santa Barbara for our seasonal wine pickups. Upon arrival there is always a great welcoming smile. This is rare indeed, one could not ask for more. The excellent service, conversation, along with delicious wine is the reason we come in... As the sun begins to set on Santa Barbara head to the Funk Zone and the unique Urban Wine Trail where a cluster of Santa Ynez Valley wineries have downtown cellar door outlets. You pay about $10 to taste a check list of different wines from well-versed staff in relaxed environs. Santa Barbara Wines is one of the oldest establishments... More

You aren't doing Santa Barbara right if you haven't gone tasting along the Urban Wine Trail in the Funk Zone! When weather, time and wallets permit - my girlfriend and I essemble a group to make a trip up north to taste here for a day to visit our favorite spots while also discovering new rooms. Santa Barbara County is... More

My husband and I had a ball. I think we hit 4 or 5? Can get expensive, but we shared our tastings. Each one can get up to $20. We debated driving to the wineries, but this way it was easier to still sample wine and not drive. We got the Santa Barbara Winery glasses to take home-bought a red... More

This is a neat idea. As opposed to getting in your car and driving up and down the road (like in Napa), Santa Barbara has the Urban Wine Trail where you can hoof it (safer too) to many wineries located together. We had a little bit of a hard time finding it (there was construction around) but finally found it... More

This is a very cool area for wine tasting and even beer tasting too! The urban wine trail has various wineries to taste from and all are unique and offer a different vibe. The area can get busy and there are lots of bachelorette parties. A great time and place to explore.

If you like wine tasting you are in the right place. There are about 25 winery tasting rooms within a few blocks of each other right in downtown Santa Barbara. It is easy to walk from 1 to the next. Enjoy!
