Our first night in, the visitor center was closed. We stopped in the first morning, found a map, and was offered a number of tips. The botanical gardens and the scenic drive were highly recommended by the woman at the desk. We enjoyed both.

I booked a number of tours from here. Unfortunately it was hard to find. Not large enough signage on the streets. Not enough seating when waiting for the tours to begin.

Some visitors centers are basic, and run by people who obviously don't want to be there. This is not one of those. Friendly, informed staff ready and willing to make useful and interesting suggestions. A note on parking. The center has free parking, for a...More

Unfortunately i don't know where the Ship Cruise port is, but I am not aware of another Visitors Centre in Santa Barbara. I would advise you to contact the Visitors Centre direct.
