This traditional Spanish hacienda style quadrangle is an important historic building complex of the early Spanish conquest. Traditional adobe construction, the rooms look into an interior patio. There are always new exhibitions that relate to the Spanish period of occupation in California.

This well preserved original dwelling is described in Two Years Before the Mast. It is a wonderful historical preservation. Don't miss the opportunity to go to a concert or play in the courtyard. Visit the house, itself, when it is open to the public.
