My first visit since the remodel, and WOW! The new exhibits are thought provoking, and the redesigned landscape is a joy to discover. I immediately bought a membership so I could go back again and again.

After a large remodel, the Santa Barbara museum of Natural history continues to provide educational opportunities for all ages. The backyard of the museum has been upgraded with a very smooth walking trail.

Excellent displays inside as well. And it's relaxing just to walk around the grounds. Several hours are recommended for a visit. It merits return visits.

We came primarily to see the top 50 photos from National Geographic. It was well worth the visit for that alone - the pictures were stunning as well as the “behind-the-picture” blurbs they gave about each photo and how it came about. The wildlife exhibits...More

Okay, I'm biased! My uncles collected all the birds and mammals that are displayed in the Museum. Look for the mounted rattlesnake just inside the museum. My uncle made it and it's been delighting people since the late 40s.
