Great, smaller museum known for its early California and Missions permanent collection. Bowers often has wonderful traveling exhibits. Most recently I visited when they were featuring an exhibit about Medieval knights. We've also seen African cultural exhibits, mummies, and a fascinating look at Madeline Albright's...More

Parking is $6 and the entrance fee is $13. Parking should be cheaper, if not free. The museum is very small but they did have some cool stuff to see. Overall, it was nice but I wouldn’t visit again.

Outstanding anthropological and art exhibits, plus strong related programming as well as Italian movies, art history lectures and music. Highly recommended but do not make a special trip for the Sunday Festivals. The Indian Kite Festival had not one authentic Indian kite in sight and...More

This is a great place to spend a few educational hours. And then have a gourmet lunch at the first class restaurant. Lots of artwork from various sources, presented in an easily accessible manor. The building itself is nice, with a courtyard and impressive trees....More

Bowers is a fabulous local museum with great temporary and permanent exhibits. Easily can be done in a couple hours and they even have a sit down restaurant if your hungry.

Nice small museum, enjoyable morning. There is a small section dedicated to California history. I would have liked to see more on that.

Do visit this historic structure with a courtyard garden and an appealing gift shop for their special exhibits as well as their permanent Pacific Art collection. Every time I go, I find something new. As this Pacific hall has recently been reinstalled with interpretive labels,...More

We are members who live on the other side of town but visit several times a year because of the great temporary exhibits. African Twilight, Vanishing Rituals and Ceremonies covers 40 years work of two women who documented in photos and videos many African ceremonies...More

Between Bowers and the Hindu temple in Chino, you can't go wrong. Unfortunately, you can NOT take pictures in the venue. So take in the sights for memory sake.

Not to my knowledge, many museums are historically closed on Mondays. Hours should be posted on their website.
