The MCOSD does a wonderful job keeping the public informed about Open Space activities and regulations. The naturalist hikes are excellent and they attract an interesting mix of people who appreciate the outdoor opportunities the county offers.

85% of Marin County has been ruled out for development, and the open space district is a notable part of this. Just minutes outside San Francisco, this greenbelt is notable for its hiking trails and vistas.
