We love coming for walks at Coyote Point. It is often rather breezy but the view of the bay is beautiful and it is so relaxing to see all the people walking their dogs and flying kites. It's awesome to see the birds in their natural habitats and see the sailboats on the bay. The kids love to stop by the playground area which is kid friendly and safe.

This park is very clean, well maintained, safe and in a good location. easy access off the freeway, but yet when you enter, you are clearly in a park setting. there are many trails to walk or bike on, picnic areas are well maintained. restroom facilities. and even a museum for the little ones. nice way to spend a day

Lots to recommend at Coyote Point. A good sail launch area and beach, small marina, great views of the Bay, easy trail to hike or bike (connects with the inner Bay Trail for miles of riding). Golf course is so-so. Restaurant is reasonably good.

Love taking my kids to the playground at Coyote Point. Only thing I do not like is that it costs $6 per car to get in. If you want to head up the hill to the little zoo area at CuriOdyssey you have to pay another $16 per person to get in. Only did this once and it actually was a decent layout. I'm still opposed to the high cost of parking and entry though.
The playground is great for all ages. They even have 2 tunnel slides (at ground level) that are handicap accessible. Everyone's favorite has go to be the giant 3 story slide. There's even an area for the smaller tykes to play. A huge open field is always a great place to fly a kite or toss around a football. Just a few steps away and you're at the Bay's edge. Walk down the rocks (they also have a couple of paths) to the water and skip some rocks. You can often see people kite surfing and sailboarding.

Great place to bring visitors or picnic with friends and families. See planes land and there is a small museum on the hill. Great photo opportunities. You can walk down to the wharf and there are nice restaurants nearby after your walk.

Great nature spot in the San Francisco bay area. Perfect also for plane spotting. The abundant Eucalyptus give the area a great smell and are absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for hiking and biking too.

Great place to bring a boat for the weekend…Just call and make reservations with Barbara master, come on in and enjoy the beautiful park it. There is great walking trails as well as the coyote point museum, only negative I have at this place as it does get a bit windy at times…

Coyote Point has great views of the bay, you can watch aircraft on their final approaches to San Francisco Airport, take relaxing peaceful walking trails, Magic Mountain playground for young children, water sport rentals when the weather is warm, yacht club, fishing areas the breakwaters, not to mention picnic grounds, a nature museum and a golf course. It really is an amazing place for such a small area.

Lots of animals are there that can't live in the wild anymore because of the injuries. Most animals there included a bird sanctuary which had golden eagles, barn owls and there were also ducks and turtles swimming in the water. There's were also bird eggs waiting to hatch. Great educational experience for both kids and adults.

Is it hard to get in to the parking lot if you are on a tour bus?
Written 6 March 2020
The parking lot down below, for the park area, is large. You may want to call and ask if your busses are allowed because it’s a one lane in/out guard shack to enter. Bus may not fit

Hi, I moved into the neighbourhood of this park. Are the opening hours enforced? I'm asking because I'm used to running in the morning around 6 AM.

I haven't seen them there, or anywhere in the bay much at all, come to think of it. I'm not sure what maritime rules are with those kinds of craft around shipping channels and "boat" traffic. There are kite surfers at Coyote Pt.

Hi,
are there wheelchair accessible trails.
Written 14 March 2015
There are several paved walkways up and down the quite steep inclines and thus I would say yes to your question, with the addition that it would be my suggestion not to try it by yourself. Having someone with you would be my idea of a good saftefy precaution as some of the paths are long and a good haul.
You might also - I think it is law in CA to have to describe any faciity as to what it is like - find the local website that will spell t hat out and describes the spot and see what it says.
The large completely fenced in dog run that we go to in the facility is flat with no barriers to entry and there is a paved walkway the full length of it in the center.
Espero que lo pases bien si pueda visitarlo.
