CuriOdyssey Park is a perfect place to enjoy a holiday with family. It caters for little children as well. It has a zoo which has mammals such as Bobcat, Guinea Pig, Fox, Otter and Skunk; reptiles such as snakes; birds including owls and pigeons; amphibians such as frog and newt; as wells as invertebrates such as spider, cockroaches and tarantula. It has a science exhibition which would interest even toddlers. The Illumin Odyssey is a beautiful light experience for children and elders. One can join as a member for regular visits. One even gets a chance to adopt an animal. There is a gift shop where you can buy mementos and also have tea. Definitely an ideal family trip.

Fun place to visit. Our first time. Lots of hands on exhibits. Special event with lights currently. Small snack bar. Inside and outside play. Small zoo. Great staff who are friendly and educational! Liked so much we joined their membership!

A friend of ours wanted to take our son and her son. We saw the price of admission and it was more than the SF or Oakland Zoo. If she hadn’t offered to pay, we would have waited at the park down the hill for them.
I will say once inside, it was a lot better than I expected. We even got to see an animal feeding. Still an odd spot to have this place, and admission is not worth it. Plus you have to pay $6 just to park

Any wedding venue has its down sides and bridal couples should be aware of CuriOddysey's before they book it. 1) it is directly in the flight path of SFO airport so any activity held in the gardens will be interrupted with loud overhead airplanes flying in. 2) there is no kitchen on site so caterers must build out their own kitchens which adds to the expense. 3) the redwood room, a stunning space, is divided into thirds with ramps, none of which is large enough to hold more than 75 people or so, so wedding toasts and speeches are awkward/impossible. 4) there is no air conditioning in the redwood room so on a warm day it gets quite hot 5) there is no access to the redwood room
except through a rather pedestrian children's exhibition
6) the redwood room has no bathrooms so guests have to go down two short flights of stairs to the museum restrooms. If guests have a sense of humor these factors may be unimportant but couples should be aware of them up front.

I do not believe that a $10 entry fee for two year olds (not to mention much higher fees for adults in addition to a $6 parking fee) under the guise of access to science and nature can be justified. Very low return on investment.

This is a hidden gem in the peninsula. I took my daughter 2 yrs and she absolutely loved the bird / animal exhibitions. There is a lot to do with daily fun activities in the zoo area as well as within the science center.
It’s a great place to spend a few hours and entertain your little one on a weekend.

There is a good mix of animals and science exhibits here. Nice setting in San Mateo with all the eucalyptus trees surrounding it. Terrific for kids 2-6.

Great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. If you have a rainy day, head to this place. Alot of hands on science and educational learning for the little ones. Designed for the younger kids, but us adults - we were there right along with them experimenting with everything also!
