This is a quintessential small winery with excellent wine and interesting people. I especially love the Riesling dessert wine. All the wines are phenomenal and they're really known for their whites. This might not be for someone who likes the big winery experience. But I would highly recommend it for a very genuine and real touch.

The service was great! We took two bottles home with us and really enjoyed chatting with the staff! It was easy to access from our air B&B location and set us up nicely to continue on our road trip to San Francisco. When you buy a bottle you get a discount on the tasting fee.

Lovely small winery in beautiful San Luis Obispo. The wines offered for tasting were very nice and we were offered an extra tasting. Renovations were underway while we were there but we're close to completion. We particularly enjoyed the Gewürztraminer and treated ourselves to several bottles.

Top quality wines in limited production. They would rather make a little bit of great wine than a lot of excellent wine, so you may only find some of their best in limited supply at the winery, not in stores. Nevertheless, visit here and take home a few bottles. Just outstanding dry Reisling - thought I would never find one... More

This was our first winery on the main road for the San Luis Obispo County wineries .upon our arrival we were met by a lady who provided us about seven tastes of wines produced at this winery. Their specialty is white wines going from the sweet to the dry. They are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines and... More

I was last at this venue in August 2013. The vintages offered on this visit were not as good as those offered in 2013. 2012 was an exceptional vintage for all varietals in pretty much the entire state. Not so the 2013s I‘ve had so far. The woman with the British accent who was pouring was pleasant enough, but rather... More

I see this brand of wine from time to time in restaurants and stores, but had never tried their wines until now. We mostly drink red wine, but this winery is known for their whites. The server was very friendly and we did enjoy their white wines and had to leave with one bottle to add to our collection.

Visited Claiborne & Churchill winery as one of our stops on our self-guided wine tours. Impressed enough to buy two bottles of their Gewurtzraminer wines (and I very seldom buy white wine). Theirs is excellent.

We followed Beverly's advice and paired this place with Kynsi, just a couple of miles away. But we started here...it is mostly whites, after all. And this place has a lovely Gewürztraminer. The grounds are perfect for relaxing with a bottle. There were several groups, wandering the on site grapes--I assume the grapes are for show since the wine is... More
