Sooo very cool! One of the only remaining drive-in cinemas left in the US apparently, this is a pretty awesome experience. Drive right up, find a good parking spot, put down your roof down and enjoy. For your money you'll get a double bill, but...More

Grew up in the area and having been coming here for years. Great value ( especially when you bring your own dinner and snacks), and fun for families. As mentioned previously, bring cash for admission ($9 adults, $4 kids), and often expect cool evenings.

With drive-in theaters disappearing around the country, it is nice to have Sunset Drive-In still left in San Luis Obispo. Though it obviously isn't as inexpensive as it once was, it still is a better deal than a traditional theater. There are no longer any...More

We visited from the UK and had never been to a drive -in movie. We loved it! A real '50's drive in experience and the prices seem to have frozen in the 50's too! 2 feature films for $9 per adult, a huge bucket of...More

We enjoy this theatre every chance we get. My husband is tall and is uncomfortable in regular theatre seats. This allows him to stand up often without disrupting those around him. Same with the kids that don't always follow the no talking rule. Snacks are...More

It's significantly cheaper than seeing movies in theaters. They don't have the same amount of selection (obviously there's only one screen) but they usually do show 2 in one night and you don't have to worry about smuggling in your own candy; making it an...More

They usually release film titles a few days in advance. You can follow them on facebook to see what the new showing will be. As a general rule, the first showing of the week ends up as the second showing the next week.
