We visited the mission, the museum, and the gift shop. Also attended Mass. While it was all interesting, and if you are in SLO you should visit, I wouldn't make a special trip to see it.

The beautiful Mission dated 1772 illustrates the center of culture for the early settlers on the Central Coast. The classic courtyard and architecture still host the vibrancy of the community through Sunday Mass, weddings, and traveling visitors. Allow at least an hour to enjoy the...More

Underwhelming. If this is your 1st mission, like your 1st diamond it will be awesome until you view other diamonds with brillance and clairity. It lacks the beauty of others and the historical vibrant tour. Still like all diamonds it should be visited.

Wonderful place to see and learn about the local mission history. The grounds are beautiful. Stop by say a prayer or just enjoy your surroundings.

This lovely little mission church is located on what has to be the prettiest plaza in the state. Try being there when there's a wedding scheduled

One of the main attractions in San Luis Obispo. It’s worth visiting but don’t expect too much. Lovely place with rich historical background but found the Carmel Mission far more interesting

A very small but beautiful Mission. This Mission was founded in September 1772 by Franciscan Father Junípero Serra; this mission was the fifth mission founded by Father Serra.
