It is worth the brief amount of time it takes to tour Mission San Luis Obispo deTolosa and learn the early history of California and the "Mission Style" that was influenced by Father Junipero Serra.

This place is full of history & really get you to think about life in general. The mission is very well worth the time it takes to tour it and to sit in the pews of the Old church is truly a lifting experience.

Go to mass here every time we visit. Old, beautiful and historic. Even if you don't go to mass there, stop in and check it out.

Catholic liturgy in an historical setting. Classic Spanish mission architecture plus a congregation that is friendly and dedicated. Be sure to visit the gardens and the gift shop.

Very nice mission. Grounds are beautiful also. Easy visit if you are in San Luis. Restaurants are nearby. Take your time and enjoy the workmanship. The layout is a bit different with the huge side seating.

What a beautiful piece of history set in the middle of downtown San Luis Obispo. The grounds are beautiful and the docents do a wonderful job of explaining history and the significance of the missions on California's development.
