The bartender here robbed me and asked the bouncers to escort me out. I paid for drinks and she basically served everyone else all her friends. When I asked for my drink she became very hostile towards me. When I asked for my money backed she called the bouncer to have me leave. I asked for.my money that the bartender... More

Since our first experience was good, we thought we'd give it another shot 4 months later. Again, it was good. The Juevo Rancheros and the Machaca were both excellent. It's not fine dining, but you couldn't tell by the quality and taste. Prices are amazing $8-10 for all entrees. With Starbucks near by, you can enjoy it with breakfast as... More

If you want to have fun with the locals, listen to great music and dance-- this is the place to go. I have been going here for years and the crowd is always great.

Stopped in on a rainy Saturday after a visit to the Mission and stayed for a couple of hours. Cool mixed age crowd and fantastic band. Millertime Boogie were fantastic. Perfectly executed Santana, Johnny Cash, Doors, ZZ Top and a few classic county songs. These guys are pros and you will know every song they play. Ice cold beers and... More

Had to visit this as my names sake and have a beer. The Staff were great and met some fantastic locals who are regulars at Swallow's. Wouldn't recommend taking children in as a little risqué particularly in the men's loo. Will definitely make it a point to spend longer here next time and look to see a couple of the... More

Swallows Inn is "The" place to go when in San Juan Capistrano. Live bands playing the best Country Music, awesome dance floor, full bar, with great servers and excellent bartenders. Music is awesome and loud. Bar is always crowded with friendly, upbeat people from near and far. Great place to go by yourself or with a group. A guaranteed good... More

Even though this is a definite bar, they do have a simple lunch and breakfast menu. It's run separate from the bar and like the bar, its cash only. But great Mexican and huge portions at very reasonable prices.

We heard so much about this place that we decided to stop in one day. WOW. We just stood there looking at all the STUFF hanging on the ceiling and on the walls. Be ready to be shocked because some of it is pretty riskay. We had a drink and decided to come back at night to see how this... More

An institution in San Juan Capistrano. Fun, loud, a place to say you have been. Pick your visiting time wisely depending on your temperament. The latter in the evening, the more the affects of alcohol on the patrons can become apparent. Not dangerous for the most part, but definitely more boisterous.
