We returned to do some shopping at the Plant. Its in the San Jose area. The mall has many big box stores such as Target, Best Buy, PetSmart, Home Depot. There are a variety of cafes and smaller restaurants to dine at. As such, its a popular area to go to and parking can sometmes be very busy.

In December there is also a Christmas tree lot on property.

For such a huge place, they sure have lousy parking & poorly planned layout. All the restaurants are bunched together...good luck finding a parking spot. As a result, i never go there to dine...only go in the morning to visit the household or pet stores.

We went to the Plant Shopping Center on a Sunday night. There are a variety of stores and restaurants/cafes there. This time we dined at Applebee's. The shopping center is popular....with other restaurants like Boiling Crab, etc.

Johnny Garlic's however has closed which was our original place we were going to go until we found it was no longer open.

We visited the shopping center while on a mini vacation in San Jose. There were plenty of stores to choose from and they were all very clean. Parking was sufficient and we felt like it was an enjoyable visit. Nice. If you forgot something on your vacation. Great spot if your local I need somewhere to shop!

This is another example of corporate shopping mall. The same exact stores and restaurants that sell the same exact things in the middle of the same exact enormous parking lot. I could easily name ten places that have the same exact combination of stores and restaurants that look exactly the same. What a waste of space.

We have been enjoying dining at several of these restaurants regularly. My favorite is Guy Fieri's Johhny Garlic late at night. We like their drinks, order some food, and often are tempted by their desert. The ribs at Famous Dave's is also quite good. For lunch, Panera Bread is popular. There are many others with Boiling Crab also being a popular place.

With 50 stores, The Plant has also a number of big box stores such as Target, Best Buy, Home Depot and so forth.

Parking can sometimes be crazy at night - The thing we have found is to park by the store section and then walk to the restaurants if it looks difficult to find a spot during dinner time hours.

Overall, there are some good places here but in an area where San Jose has a number of shopping centers, I have given it an average rating. The reason why is also unlike some shopping centers like Santana Row, Westfield Mall, I do not think of this place as The Plant Shopping Center.

I saw it posted on Trip Advisor and wondered "what is that" and then realized I had been going there for years.

I usually go there to shop with my sister. If you go during the evening near the restaurants, it's actually quite relaxing. They play music for the visitors if you dine outside. I only wish they had more tables out in the center of the lot because that's where it's most nice.

This place has some neat restaurants that you don't see everywhere. The Boiling Crab and Johnny Rockets to name a couple. Regardless of what you'd rate them, there are some neat places to both eat and shop here.

This fairly new center has something for everyone with a number of major stores and several good restaurants. Home improvement, electronics, specialty clothing, and smaller stores make shopping convenient.
We have enjoyed Applebee's, Famous Dave's, and Five Guys restaurants.
Easy in and out and more than ample parking.
A good place to find whatever you need.
