Our first visit. The "use your phone" for self guided tour, is a bust. Little information and the need to recall the number often, so nobody seemed to be using it. The numbers were ..where?...but the names of the rooms or garden area were often...More

Very historic property that was owned by the person who established San Clemente. Make you way to the west end of the house for great views of the ocean and San Clemente pier. Worth the price of admission which for us was only $5.

We brought 31 seniors here by bus for a 45-minute tour with two docents (they split us into two groups). Interesting, beautiful and accessible. We especially enjoyed the grounds and, of course, the fabulous view---all this following lunch on the pier below. A great day!

The fantastic views, the relaxing porch and gardens besides the indoor patio were so inviting! And if that was all it would’ve been well worth it! But there is so much to see inside. They have an art gallery and all the different rooms throughout...More

The historic anchor of San Clemente, a beautiful home filled with photos of the beginning and development of the City. Take time to tour the maticulous garden and panoramic ocean views from the bluff top patios.

Googlemaps says half a mile, but expect a rather rigorous uphill walk.

I can't really say "blocks," but it is "right there." Very close and walkable. Casa is up a hill a bit, and you can walk down to the pier easily. :)
