I have loved the works of John Steinbeck for years, so it was a dream come true to visit Salinas and the Steinbeck Center. However, if you're not really a fan, I'm not sure how interesting it would be. Also, I don't think persons under...More

A surprise was finding out Marilyn Monroe was a queen of asparagus or artichokes here. The actual vehicle for travels with Charlie and much more is there. Worth the visit.

Very well worth a visit even if you're not a huge fan of Steinbeck. Watch the educational film before you visit the exhibition. The very friendly and helpful docent will answer any of your questions. Gift shop and penny pincher.

I don't believe so. You could call and find out. It is self guided and there are many movie clips so I don't think it would be possible. It's not large enough for a docent tour. Read all of your Steinbeck books before you go!
