What a wonderful museum for a great American author. Very educational, learned a lot that I hadn't known about Steinbeck, and did make me want to read more of his work. Loved the connections with Cannery Row and Ed Ricketts' lab in Monterey. Highly recommended.

This is a great museum in the heart of old town Salinas. I didn't realize how many books he wrote nor what a well versed individual he was. The guides recommend you view a short film before entering the main part of the museum to...More

If you have read any Steinbeck (and even if you haven't), the museum is really intriguing. A very of the Old West, the struggle with migrant labor, the emergence of California as a national source of food, and a sense of nascent American literature befor...More

I don't believe so. You could call and find out. It is self guided and there are many movie clips so I don't think it would be possible. It's not large enough for a docent tour. Read all of your Steinbeck books before you go!
