    Welcome home
Josh was our host and was lovely to talk with. He was very welcoming and really wanted to make sure we felt at home. We got to learn a lot of information on viticulture(growing grapes) and enology(making wine) from josh as well. You are in the owners home/property and they certainly treat you like family. Ginny, the winery pup sat with us and provided company. We got to talk to Fred the owner for 45 minutes or so, where he told us all about his life, buying the property, his parents home overlooking the vineyard, and the fires of 2020. He introduced us to Andy, his son, who was making white wine and we got to see the process up close and personal. I forgot to mention josh met us at the car with wine! No service anywhere else like that in the valley! We absolutely had a blast at Schweiger and anyone considering going should! Small vineyard with such a personalized experience!!

    Genuine family owned winery
If you want a genuine family owned, wine experience, this is it! This is not a high profile, big name, bumping tasting room, but this is true authentic Napa. Our wonderful host Josh told us all about the family story, wine history, and makings of their wine. My wife and I enjoyed a nice quiet afternoon on the mountain, after spending some time in the valley, where it was getting quite warm. It was a nice experience climbing the 2000 ft. roadway full of redwoods, wildlife, and pocket vineyards. Great wine, great view, and a warm genuine experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Napa.

    Another Wonderful Afternoon at Schweiger
One of the reasons to join a wine club is the opportunity to pick up shipments in person. I'm lucky that I live close to Napa Valley where the Schweiger Family Vineyards and Winery is located. I and a group of friends were treated to a tasting of Schweiger's current releases. We had our own tasting table. Our group was hosted by the tasting room manager, Wendy, who after pouring the wine and explaining its history, left us to our own conversation as we sipped the wine and enjoyed the cheese and other treats paired with the wine. Their wine is yummy and I am happy to have been a member for the past 3 years. With corporations gobbling up wineries in the valley, it's important to support the small family wineries and ensure they thrive.

Only about 5 tables for tastings up in the hills at a family owned winery. We were served by one of the owners who was very knowledgeable about the wine and answered all our questions about the property (which was truly beautiful). My favorite wine was a rose while my boyfriend liked the deeper reds. A bonus was giving belly rubs to a sweet yellow lab who lived on the property. Great experience all around.

We had a lobster dinner and wine tasting with the family and really enjoyed the experience. The wine is fantastic and the dinner was exceptional. We really enjoyed the experience and noted the ties to Georgia Tech.

Schweiger is our favorite winery of any we visited in Napa Valley. Terrific wines, great service and and great view. What’s not to like?

Josh was our host and proved to be very accommodating and friendly. Then we got the opportunity to spend 15 minutes or so with Fed and Sally Schweiger who are very welcoming and fun to talk with.

And the wines!! We took four bottles home with us and plan to make this a must-stop on our next visit to Napa.

Family owned and operated vineyard and winery offers a very different and pleasant experience from your larger commercial wineries down the hill in Napa Valley. Up the hills from the valley, you get amazing views along with variety of wines, all of which I would recommend.

Wow! What incredible wine, and we loved the intimate family setting. We were first introduced to Schweitzer wines via a virtual tasting during the pandemic and immediately joined the wine club. The Chardonnay and Cabernet are phenomenal, as are all of their wines. It was great to meet Fred, Sally, Andy, and Wendy in person.

We will definitely be back and continue to enjoy these wines!
