I’ve been in cathedrals all over the world and this one stands out as one of the prettiest I’ve seen. It’s hard to believe this place is in Sacramento, complete elegance in such a blue collar town. Completed in 1889, it’s one of the largest...More

While visiting the Capitol building go visit this cathedral it's just a short walk away. The vaulted interior is just as beautiful as the Capitol's and unlike the latter there are no paintings of past governors there. Quite a relief, indeed.

This is an active Catholic cathedral with regular church services. Remodeled interior a few years ago that replicated what the interior of Notre-Dame in Paris, France. Very beautiful.

Though we arrived on Sunday morning near the end of Mass, tours are available in between the services. This is a beautiful cathedral and worth a visit for Mass or just to enjoy the beauty and peaceful interior

This is not a place that would glorify God. You may want to visit a church that offers Gospel music for that or Christian Rock music. Or, watch a concert at the newly built Arena downtown. God created the music, thus go... More
