very well maintained ,the docents do a great job,learn something every time we go,did you know the S logo for Stanford University was the family monogram? That is just one of the wonderful bits of trivia from this remarkable home.Don't miss this state park.

Check out the Rear Bank ATM window. Just look up at this structure. This place exudes History and is being renovated to stay that way.

Can’t beat a free tour of a lovely old mansion. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and the overall experience a good one. We lucked out and got street parking just a block away and were able to walk to the state capital and tour there...More

Always enjoy touring "mansions". This one was no exception. Interesting to see how homes were designed in their day and to hear about the characteristics and eccentrics of the owner/builders.

What a lovely restored home this is, and the tour is free. It's worth the time to find parking. It can be done on the same day as the Capitol tour.

not too far from the capitol. guided tours every hour on top of the hour, so make sure to time your visit arrival a few minutes before the top of the hour. quite informative. the mansion was jacked up like buildings in old sacramento.
