Scribner Bend Winery is 10 minutes from town but feels like you drove hours to a stunning setting in the Sacramento Delta. The wines are very good, especially their signature Tempranillo. We have been members of the wine club for many years and the value is quite good. The staff always remembers you after just one visit and are friendly and informed. The winery is quite pretty and a nice place to have a picnic and glass of wine. They also have wine club parties at Christmas and other times which offer free food and entertainment.

The main thing you want from an initial visit is knowledge of the product. Every one of the servers had that and more. Brought back the kind of atmosphere you found 50 years ago. Most wineries, especially where we live, focus more on getting you to join their "club" or paying for their "elite" tasting experience, in some cases, $20-25 a head. NONE of that here! The servers actually talk to you enough before starting to give you the level of experience you want. They talking to you about the wine they were pouring you, NOT about the "specials" of the day. They allowed the taste of their wine to determine if you were going to purchase. IT did! WE did! First wine tasting experience I've enjoyed in years. If I lived here, it would be a place I would bring my guests to see and enjoy!

I enjoyed the wine tasting. The whites and reds were both very good. I went home with the white blend and almond dessert wine. The staff are friendly . They have food available too. I missed the band which was only before 3 pm on Sundays. Will have to go earlier next time.

Although I visited here in2013, SB was on my short list of places I wanted to see again. First, I wanted to restock my pantry with their superb relishes, and of course, their excellent wines. While I have enjoyed many of their wines, I was on a specific mission to stock up on their Late Harvest Chardonnay. It was a good thing we took care of getting the relishes in the car because We were having such a great time talking with a couple up from San Fran, that we left without some LHC. Darn, I guess will have to make another run to the Sacramento area in a few months and stop again at SB. You'll probably visit more than once yourself! Enjoy!

I attended a wedding at this winery, and it was an outstanding experience. The wedding ceremony was held in the vineyard between rows of growing grape vines. It was a beautiful setting for everyone.
After the wedding, there was a cocktail hour at the adjacent outdoor event area. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful in recommending wines or other drinks for specific tastes. The winds are outstanding, and there were some "good finds" there!
Dinner was also held outdoors, but under an open tent in case of rain. The food was served buffet style, and everything was excellent. The staff worked hard throughout the entire event to make sure that everyone's needs were attended to.
This is a fabulous place to have any event, wedding or otherwise!

We were looking for a nice place that had outdoor seating for wine tasting. If you want a nice variety of wines to try and good food, look no further.
It was easy to order the wine flight, which consisted of two whites and two reds. They also have wines by the glass that you could also get as well.
There were a good number of outdoor tables that were decently spaced out. Space heaters are available and near some of the tables.
Paesanos Courtyard Kitchen is on the proper and pairs nicely with the wines that the winery has. The food was delicious.
If you want to gather with friends and or family to have some nice wine and yummy food, Scribner Bend Winery would be the place to go!

They treated our group like royalty and the wine was fabulous! They had a special on their Merlot which turned out to be very good as well.

We got married here! It was the very first place we looked at and it was love at first sight! Service is excellent! The staff was more than welcoming and was open to all of our questions. Kelly and Karen are excellent! We also tried their wine on our first visit, and have come back for more many times! We absolutely love this place and its not super far away!

Have no idea, but the winery is actually south of Sacramento by a few miles (just south oh the very small town of Freeport on the River Road). Regular Sharatons are usually downtown or by the airport. From downtown, I would allow for a 30min drive; from the airport allow 45 min. Worth a trip, I just happen to be in Sacramento for business for the weekend and head ding to SBW tomorrow to get a few bottles of their late harvest wines! Enjoy!
