Visited with my son and 2 young grandchildren. Beautiful gardens. The firefighter and Viet Nam monuments are thought provoking and beautifully done. The kids enjoyed running around and chasing squirrels! I would love to go back when all the flowers are in bloom.

This park and all its historical representations makes for an interesting stroll. There are bronze and marble sculptures, trees and fish that have been given as gifts from foreign governments and various flower gardens with labeled species east to west. Typically lush and manicured, the...More

Numerous trees planted from all over the world. A tree lover's delight. Lovely settings and many monuments. Definitely worth taking the time to see while traveling in Sacramento.

I like to take walks here as there are many paths. Lots of beauriful different trees and cactus area. Several memorials are nice to visit and I always stop by the rose garden.

It's worth a stroll in Capitol Park to see trees representing all the areas of the state, and many monuments that are tucked into vignettes. The rose garden was still in full bloom in November, and the children's poems engraved onto ground markers are lovely.

Bordered by 10th and 15th Sts and L and N Sts, the grounds cover 10 city blocks. Heavily treed example of what Sacramento is about - reputedly the most treed city after Paris. Dozens of well manicured rose gardens for those horticultural lovers. On street...More

Another option is to take advantage of the "valet parking" at the restaurants across fro the park for $5 to $6 Then tip for $5 bucks and park longer time for less cost....
