When arriving in Sacramento we found out that the place to check out first is Old Sac. There are many great shops, restaurants, and bars. We wandered around checking out all of the shops and the interesting things that they were selling. You can find...More

Just wandering around Old Town remembering stores that used to be here. Great ladies clothing, but, those days are gone. Not much but trinket stores now.

This is the only place that has preserved close to what Sacramento used to be 100 plus years ago. None of the roads are paved- mostly cobble/brick which is a little hard to navigate for the elderly/disabled who use wheelchairs or are unsteady with canes....More

You’re taken back a hundred years with this scenario. Wood sidewalks and very well maintained old buildings sets a scenery that could easily be from the old west. Just swap the cars with horses, and you’re there.

Old Sacramento is a must visit, it’s fun and kids love the town and the train ride you can take plus the river cruises. This was our third visit. There are good bars and restaurants here too and shopping.

Yes. I would say so. Lots of outside space in bars and cafes. Very little traffic.

I like Firehouse for the seafood, but I guess it depends on what style you want. For a good pub-burger go to O’Malleys Irish pub.
