Beautiful historic Old Town

We only rode bikes through it, and I wish I would have had time to shop or room in my luggage. There are several great photo opportunities there.

This palce is where real adventures can be had, It it not just a historic street but many blocks of historic buildings and displays. On top of everything else, it is right on the river and home to several great museums.

This is the area where the pony express ended. Town looks like an old Western historic town, with wood sidewalks. Lots of unique shops and restaurants. It is also located next to the Sacramento River

What can you say about ' Old Sacramento ', that hasn't been said before. There always seems to be a slow change of merchants, that give the consumer another reason to explore. The usual eateries are stable, offering pizza to seafood, with the multiple sweet shops for your desserts ! Parking is usually no problem, and I would recommend taking... More

The few blocks of Old Town look just like a Hollywood set. I don't know whether the buildings are original, but the area feels fake. Most shops sell either sweets or shoddy souvenirs. Restaurants and other eateries are OK, but in no way reflectthe supposed period.

Lots of shops to browse with a lot of variety. Found an old record shop. Quite a few souvenier shops and food choices to choose from. The stores get a little cramped when a lot of shoppers.

The energy from the visitors and vendors was good. The street performers were amazing. Some of the shops offer free samples. The train exhibit was awesome.

We got to spend an afternoon in Old Town and really enjoyed walking around, seeing the old buildings, taking in the sights, and, of course, a bit of shopping. It's been a number of years since we've been here although the place has not lost any of its charm. To be honest, this is primarily a mall (shops and restaurants)... More
