My favorite time of year to visit old Sacramento is during the Holidays. They put on amazing shows and lights. I also enjoy going into their shops. One of the shops is filled with ornaments, decorations, and Christmas villages ranging from the Nightmare Before Christmas...More
cobblestone road - boardwalks with cracks between. Love the candy stores. Tourist stuff everywhere. Came for the Train Museum but walked around some too. Granddaughter is dancing on the train - Polar Express. It sells out every year.
This is our second time to visit "old sac". We go see our daughter who lives in Sacramento every once in awhile.
It is several blocks of shops, restaurants and snack places.
We enjoy the shops, and I usually buy something I don't need!
The rain did not dampen the lighting of the 60 ft. Christmas Tree or the live dramatization of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” on the balconies above K Street, complete with a special appearance by Jack Frost. It was a fun evening and we will be there next...More
