Overview
More
Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.

We got here just as they were taking their last reservations and they squeezed us in! Great wine and wonderful people behind the counter made for a fun end to our day! We ended up purchasing a case of red and white wines!

This winery makes outstanding white wines; they are also friendly and welcoming. The tasting with cheeses is highly recommended. This winery is really worth a stop.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the tasting room was a little busy. Grgich Hills has excellent wines, we have had them at home and they are quite nice. The gentleman that was serving us didn’t have the kind of personality that made you...More

Stopped by just about closing time but James took great care of us. Great history of Croatia wine making and how it came to Napa Valley.

We visited this winery one morning during our trip. The wines are just amazing! We had several tastings and loved the Chardonnays!! No wonder he put California chardonnay on top of the world.

We stayed there a little over an hour. Tasting the wines and learning of Mike Grgich history in Bottle Shock ( beating all French wines in blind taste test 20+ years ago !) Hope you enjoy!

Sorry but we are not allowed to sell food as part of our permit. We do offer wine and cheese pairings as part of an educational seminar. Call us at the winery @707-963-2784 for more details.
