If you enjoy old cars or bright shiny vehicles, Kool April Nites is here every April. It's a good show. The Civic is a good spot for it. Indoor and outdoor areas, plenty of room for food and shops, and sun, shade, and bathrooms.

The Redding Civic Center is a modern structure formed in concrete and stone. The building was designed by architects Smart & Clabaugh of Redding and Van Bourg-Nakamura of Berkeley who described their design as “new brutalist”. In September 1970, the city dedicated the 2,200-seat auditorium. Sound system needs updating. Seating not bad in comparison to larger venues fiberglass seating. Staff... More

Due to the very poor sound system, very uncomfortable seating I refuse to purchase tickets for any venue. There are several good entertainers that book at the Civic Auditorium and costs for their show can & usually are quite high. It is not the cost for a seat that keeps me away, it is the seats & sound system. If... More

This is a cocrete box that is showing serious wear and tear. The parking really needs attention and the lots need an overhaul. I avoid events held here.

Hi Gnarfle23! Thank you so much for your feedback; we truly value it! We're sorry to hear you avoid events held at our venue. While some events such as expos may give off a "concrete box" feel, our building was specifically designed to be cave-like to be ideal for high-energy concerts and events! We hope you give us another shot... More

We are super excited to be planning our upcoming events in the redecorated civic auditorium! The admin are incredibly helpful and focused on creating new exciting events in Redding. The facility itself is super adaptive. Great musical acts!

The Redding Civic aka The Civic has been doing a great job lately of getting in a variety of shows that we've wanted to see (Jim Gaffigan, Alton Brown). Plus the current operator has made a lot of interior updates, such as a coffee bar. Plus they're still hosting a variety of local events like ReddTowne Market, dance recitals, and... More

Attended our son's Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry graduation here. There was plenty of seating for all of the students as well as family and friends. My husband ordered us flavored coffee and a scuffin for himself which he said was delicious.

The place pulls in a variety of entertainment. Comedians, acts, music (the acoustics are so-so), and more. Good to check out their calendar. The most recent was the annual Kool April Nites car show. Over 1800 vintage cars looking gorgeous on a perfect day!

This was a wonderful show with lots of energy and done very professionally. The set changes went off without a hitch and the play moved well. I loved this ending! It really brought Scrooge to life and gave a whole new feel to the character of Belle. Well done by all the actors both young and older. We would do... More

The Redding Civic Auditorium has always been a focal point in our small town. Since the Bethel Church begin expanding their ministries in reading the city fathers decided it to be a good idea to lease the Civic Auditorium to the church for their training. I believe this was done because it required a great deal of money to keep... More
