Sunnylands is wonderful - interesting, visually charming and a great experience. You can visit the landscaping and visitor center anytime. However, you must have tickets to visit the residence and its interiors. Try to get tickets - it is worth it and lovely!

...when they reopen in the fall. Iconic of the times, epitome of desert living at it's finest. Concurrently stuck in time and timeless. The Biltmore or San Simeon in mid-century modern.

The visitor center is beautiful and the landscaping is gorgeous. During the winter season they have yoga classes and tons of super kid friendly activities. The main reason I give it only 4 is that it is the kind of thing you can see everything...More

Tucked in the middle of Rancho Mirage, Sunnylands gives a glimpse of the 1960's-1980s through the Annenberg home and estate. The gardens are lovely and available to browse for free- the house tour requires reservations and a approx. $50 ticket. But well worth it to...More

We've been waiting to visit Sunnylands (we live nearby), and finally did. First, there is a reception center, which is a later add-on, not part of the actual house. It is excellent, with a very nice coffee/snack shop, small gift shop and small art exhibit....More

The Sunnylands visitors centre is a magnificent modernist architectural delight. It has some great art and sculpture, and many free events. It is very interesting to see that piece of history. The bistro is nice and friendly and serves good food and beverages.

We recently toured the beautiful gardens and Annenberg home at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage. We were very impressed by the Annenberg collection of magnificent art, eclectic furnishings, mid-century design and architecture. Our art historian docent (and personal tour guide) provided us with interesting information, fascinating...More

Never even heard of this place until someone mentioned it to us. After some research I found out that you must book well ahead to do the house tour. Go to their website to check when they go on sale. And they sell out quickly....More
