Was lucky enough to observe a commercial fisherman cleaning an albacore tuna for a local resident. Both individuals were interesting and informative to visit with.

This is a working fishing pier. This is not a tourist trap pier. We walked out onto the pier and tried to stay out of the way of the fisherman. It was really cool.

Nothing to do on this pier unless you have a fishing pole. Bring your own fish cleaning equipment. Fish not abundant. No seating.

Beautiful place. It's about a mile drive down Port Rd, to the pier, Off Hwy 1. Super easy to get to. Lots of parking. I've never seen it completely full. This is not a sand beach. It's small rocks. Some sharp. So you want closed...More

This is a great place to fish but not so much to catch anything. The visit is the thing. The Pizza place is great for snacks while fishing

The 330 foot pier juts into the Pt Arena Cove, a local destination for whale watching, fishing, surfing and meditating, with some tables, seating, bathrooms, and launch…The cove is quiet, protected from the wind, with open ocean views, a rocky bottom with depths of 20-100...More

Located north edge of Point Arena, these are nicely kept cabins. Tough to go anywhere. All roads all sides are narrow and twisting, so the town, although cute, is isolated. Still would go back!

We stayed in Point Arena for a week in early October and visited this pier many times. Great restaurant & bar upstairs in the building in front of the pier. Great views and we even saw some whales!

All I can say is we were in Point Arena for a week in the middle of May and we didn't have any foggy days, but I don't know what July is like.
