I would not have imagined finding an African animal preserve on the coast of California, but there it is! We had a group of 9 adults and 9 kids and we were joined by another family of four. They totted us around in 2 safari style jeeps, which the kids loved! The weather was overcast and we did get sprinkled... More

We visited the B Bryan Preserve after reading about it in our hotel suggestions of "things to see". We are so glad we went! It was a very interesting place! The Mello's are dedicated and full of information about all of these amazing animals. We have shared pictures with many of our friends after returning to Missouri and they are... More

The preserve is interesting although I'm not sure it was worth the price. It was very expensive for our family of four which includes a toddler and an 8 month old. My toddler was definitely very interested but my 8 month old could care less. Seemed a bit ridiculous we had to pay full price for him. But seems to... More

Having wanting to go there for months - having family here gave me the perfect reason to take the beautiful drive down the coast to Point Arena. The tour was well worth it! So informative and enjoyable. And we truly appreciate the safe space that the Mellos are creating for these wonderful animals. A terrific time.

This place was so cool, to be able to feed giraffes up close was worth sitting in soggy seats. I'd recommend bringing your own towel to sit on and wear a beanie so your jacket hood doesn't interfere with pictures. The owner was very knowledgeable about the animals. We went on a Monday so there were only 7 people total.

We visited on a beautiful day in January 2017 and could not have had a nicer experience! We saw all the different varieties of antelope and zebras out in their respective areas - it was a pleasure to get so close to these interesting animals - you wanted to reach out and touch them but of course, we knew that... B Bryan Preserve is an unexpected surprise on the California Coast! Get up close and personal with 3 varieties of Zebra, a variety of antelope and be "kissed" by the giraffes! Can't get much more personal than that! Our guide was friendly and gave an in depth, informative tour of the facility and the animals. The enclosures are huge so... More

We so enjoyed the opportunity to learn about and be up close and personal with these beautiful animals. Judy and the other tour guide were so knowledgeable and passionate about their work and they educated us about the animals, taught us interesting facts and were open to questions and gave us ample time to admire and observe the animals in...
