Nice place to take children to fish for the first time or rent a boat. Fishing is ok, try the chartreuse power bait.

Small artificial lake, was local beach destination in the past but is recently getting more popular for fishing. Parking and beach area has been renovated and cleaned. Local dive club organizes dives here. Good place for SUP and kayaking. Avoid public holidays and Sundays, too...More

Shadow Cliff is very beautiful and peaceful by the water. If you are wanting to get away with some friends or by yourself to meditate Shadow Cliff is a great place for go!

We go there to walk or kayak. It is close by with food and gas right around the corner. Tons of parking and shade for hot summer weather.

Fishing Docs, Sunshine and Swimming. Lifeguards on duty. All around great outdoor get away for the day or just a few hours its all good.

Shadow Cliffs has several hiking trails you can walk, run, very dog friendly. There is a lake there, but with California water issues, I wouldn't plan on going in. There awesome nice picnic areas to just sit and enjoy the views.

Yes dogs are allowed. I think there's a $2 fee for them though. I even brought my dog on my kayak with me. He had a blast.
