Very informative and a great place to stop and have a taste of Port wines. We really enjoyed the friendly staff. I'm sorry I dont remember her name. WE loved all the wines and joined the club. After leaving we discussed wanting more so we bought a bottle to enjoy later before returning home!

Bill and his wife are so awesome. The experience of learning about port and how it's made was fabulous fun. We enjoyed the tasting but we especially enjoyed learning about how it's made and the different variations of process. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We join the port club and we're looking forward to getting our shipment when... More

Very knowledgeable gentleman explains the ports we're tasting, and the grappas also. This is unique (because it's port rather than the wines), and it was a nice room with the big barrels. No charge! We bought a port and a port-infused vinegar, and ended up joining their club! And the proprietor made an excellent restaurant suggestion.

A must stop for port or grappa lovers. You can sample everything at no charge and the stuff is absolutely the best. They also have a port club where you can save 15% or more. They also carry "sonomic" an almost vinegar that's great for salads and other toppings. Located almost at the end of 2nd st

A tasting room for some nice locally-made aperitifs and ports. An enjoyable slightly out-of-the-way resting spot

We stopped by the Portworks on our way to the coast last week-end and were delighted by our visit. The owner patiently explains his method of making port and of the making of grappa from his grapes. He is very knowledgable and easy to talk to. the grappa is made next door. And before you prejudge the grappa, it is... More

This is the best port house in Petaluma, and closest to San Francisco. This little gem of a place offers incredible ports crafted by Bill (owner and winemaker). Their tasting room is quaint (and free) and they have a great club. their motto is DRINK DESERT ! ! !

Our stop here was part of a guided tour. We were totally impressed. Portworks workers are so friendly and very informative. Their "Almost Vinegar" is so good, a must have.

We stumbled on this place and couldn't have been happier. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Free tasting with optional donation to local charity which we recommend you do! They paired the ports with chocolate truffles and pumpkin pie - a fun treat this holiday season! The place has great grappa and interesting ports. Lots of care and attention taken at... More
