About
Tooth & Nail Wine Company is a family of wines united by one purpose: to take you beyond the status quo. Founded by grower Rob Murray, Tooth & Nail followed a path of grit and determination to find success in Paso Robles. Rather than battling nature, we bottled it— embracing the elements in the pursuit of excellence. Often polarizing but never ignored, our wines are the milestones of an unlikely journey. Join us at our house of wine in the Willow Creek District, where you can enjoy tasting flights and food pairings with estate vineyard views Sunday-Thursday 10-6 and Friday-Saturday 10-8. Or find us online at ToothandNailWine.com.

- AreciaLos Angeles, California43 contributionsNice decorDid reservation for 2. We did wine tasting comes with 6 tasting for $40 each. They wave it if you buy a bottle $40+ per tasting. The castle is cool, loved the decor inside. Someone was able to us upstairs to view. But it wasn’t open. I’d go back for the ambiance.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 April 2023
- cindy lSomerset, New Jersey262 contributionsAmazingMade last minute reservation with ease. Beautiful property. They did a great job with the remodel from the previous incarnation. We were seated under the pergola. Derek/Jarod? I wish I could remember his name, he was awesome! So knowledgeable and nice! Two of us did the wine tasting while we split French fries and the charcuterie board. Delicious. Definitely a laid back, elevated space. We had a 11am reservation which was nice, not terribly crowded which was good, we had a young child with us. It was getting crowded as we left. Bigger groups were showing up. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine. Lovely space and I would highly recommend for a party or event.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 May 2023
- HappyTrailsToAllHenderson, Nevada163 contributionsWorth the trip and delicious wine!!!We made reservations for wine tasting and their wine is very good! Love the stories behind this building. It has a moat around the castle-like building that is really nice. There is inside and outside tasting. The inside bar is gorgeous! We will definitely be back.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 June 2023

We were traveling with friends and meeting family in Paso Robles. We pre-scheduled this wine tasting. We were there on a non weekend day and there were very few people at the property. We were greeted with nonchalant service. Briskly herded to a table for 9. Our presenter Naomi didn’t even bother to introduce herself. She was terrible. We know nothing of the property or how they make their wine. The tasting is $40.00 A person. The wine is lack luster as was our entire experience at this property. We ordered food which I’m giving a 5. The price falls flat of our experience. Better noted, once we were so poorly greeted and then met our wine guide several of us shared the tasting. This is not worth $80.00 a couple. No one in our party ordered wine. We won’t be back. HUGE letdown!

Terrible venue in need of renovation. Tasting room is dark (black walls) with Goth art. Owner, Rob, unpleasant to deal with and dishonest. Look elsewhere for a special occasion venue.

Horrible experience. We are former members of Tooth and Nail. Joined about four years ago - loved the castle experience, great employees and really cool parties. The wine was never the best but the atmosphere kept us coming back. Unfortunately after about a year and half things began to change. We had two very unfriendly, unwelcoming experiences here and decided to cut our losses (after letting the club manager know - hoping for them to improve) and quit our membership. Fast forward to 2023 - had some friends and family in and decided to give it another try. Wow - horrible, very rude customer service. We were so embarrassed by the way we were publicly and loudly treated soooo badly - and totally unprovoked. We left quite abruptly and will never return. We are members at several wineries in the paso area and frequent many venues in this area. So many wonderful, friendly, incredible wineries to visit in Paso - steer clear of the tourist trap castle!!

Stopped by the winery towards tail end of the day. We did not have a reservation, but the staff was supper friendly and got us a table. Found the wine to be great and the snacks were amazing as well. Did not get an opportunity for a tour but our 4 year old son loved walking around the castle and moat.

Stopped here on our way out of Cayucos and was not disappointed. Service was quick and friendly, even with no reservation. The day was windy and sunshine aplenty. The castle grounds are impeccably welcoming and clean. Ryan was our server and he was fabulous. Our party of six kept it simple with a few full glasses, garlic fries, and several tasting flights. We ended up purchasing wine to take with us. Highly recommend this winery.

Pros: the outside seating/castle is beautiful, i love the gothic aesthetic of the outside and labels, Karen gave wonderful service, was very knowledgeable and was so kind. Wine was good, I bought two bottles of the Grenache. Food was BALLER. - I recommend the sliders and garlic fries.
Cons: We had a reservation and checked in, the host forgot about us. We waited about 20 minutes while watching 5 other parties get seated before I went up to ask what was going on. The inside of this place does not match the outside at all; mismatch interior design, poor paint colors, weird graffiti art for their new label/concept that doesn’t match their esthetic at all, flies EVERYWHERE. i was expecting castle vibes inside- I was wrong. :/ this place has so much potential.

I had high hopes for this place, and purposely scheduled it as our last stop on a Friday. I had a reservation for 2, $30 each. A bit pricey, and it really was not worth it. Wines were unimpressive, service started out good....and went downhill fast. After a few tastings, that took over an hour, we decided we'd rather go somewhere else. Literally had to go searching for our server to close out tab. I was told I couldn't come inside, I couldn't go upstairs since I "didn't pay for it". Rude. THEN, the server is irritated that we are leaving, and hands me the bill, which we were charged $40 each. I told him my reservation was for $30 each but he told me I was wrong or confused, as it's "always been $40"...even though I had an email confirmation. Such a waste of time,

is it offered in any wine tours?

I don't know if it's part of any organized tours, but it's very easy to get to independently (right on Hwy 46) and there are several other good wineries nearby.
