This course is set amongst vineyards and is really pretty. It's very challenging but fair. They can have water issues, like everyone else... I am a 25 index.( FYI.) The pro shop... read more

Travelled from Australia to play here, and wow, loved it. Great course, not overly challenging but perfect for my game (I'm not that good). The staff (John) went over and above the call for us. Couldn't help us enough. Even assisted with information on golf in Santa Barbara. The bar staff, great, very friendly. Lunch was superb. It is very... More

I was on vacation so I stopped in to play 18. The guy behind the counter was an absolute jerk. He threw insults and made assumptions about how I played. He made what would have been a great experience at a nice course not good at all.

Enjoyed a late lunch while we watched the last rounds of the masters. The golf course is very picturesque.

We really like this course and love Paso Robles. But the check-in/etc. signage is the worst: no bag drop sign (maybe 'cause there is no bag drop), no sign to range, no sign to hole 1, etc., etc.). What is awful is the staff help: no hello by anyone at front desk when checking in (3 guys), sold us range... More

I am sorry you had a bad experience at Hunter Ranch. We do have numerous signs around the clubhouse and at certain cartpath junctions. If you could tell me more specifically about your experience at the front desk other than "no hello by anyone" I might be able to determine if there was a reason they were too busy to... More

You don't have to play here, we stopped for lunch after the Warbirds museum and I wish we had spent all day. The venue was perfect, or servers were just perfect and couldn't help enough with perfect service and company. Great value with great view, great staff and a great location. Thanks to all who made our lunch perfect in... More

The pro shop and restaurant are very nice. I work at another golf course on the central coast. I give Hunter a definite "must play". If you are from out of... More

The course is in remarkably great shape given the water issues. The course provides for a lot of various shots and the greens are great. They run fast and true. The back nine is a little more narrow but a fair challenge. Don't assume driver on all the par 4s.

Very pretty golf course in great condition. Tees fairways and greens were all in really nice condition. I was paired up with two other golfers which was organised by the very helpful pro shop staff (golf is no game to play on your own) Enjoyed the round very much. The club house is very friendly and serves up some great... More

Challenging but fair golf course that is WELL maintained, with scenic views of the surrounding vineyards and hillsides. This course will challenge even the most seasoned golfer, while providing an opportunity for newbies to improve their iron play and shot selections. You have to manage this course carefully, or you WILL be OOB, and there are many unplayable lies. The... More

We were on our way to the California coast, and just happened to hear about the Sunday brunch at Hunter Ranch. There was some talk of bottomless mimosas, so we decided to give it a try! You basically have two options for the Sunday brunch menu - the unlimited buffet with unlimited drinks as well for $34.99 or the Single... More
