About
Anglim is a small, family-owned winery located in Paso Robles, California producing Rhone varietals such as Viognier, Roussanne, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, and blends, with grapes from some of the finest growers on California’s Central Coast. Winemaker Steve Anglim realizes that stellar wines begin in the vineyard, and is passionate about partnering with growers in the Paso Robles Willow Creek, Templeton Gap, and Adelaida Districts who share our vision for distinctive, balanced, food-friendly wines. Our limited annual production of about 1,500 cases allows us to produce in small lots with a combination of tradition and innovation, managing the winemaking approach and new oak percentages to create wines with enough character to be cellared but enough elegance to be enjoyed now.

Anglim owners Steve and Steffanie are a dynamic duo!

All Anglim wines are of the highest caliber. During our recent visit, the four of us agreed that every wine on the tasting menu was excellent. (Folks with discriminating palates will totally understand what I'm talking about!). Because of the premium wine experience, we had a hard time deciding on a bottle to share, but we eventually did!

Their new, expansive tasting room is clean and inviting, and a big part of the "inviting" part is Steffanie. She is very Midwest-down-to-earth without losing her California-wine-coolness! Also, the tasting bar could easily accommodate 8-10 people, plus there is seating for at least 6 people, and standing room for a couple dozen!

I encourage wine lovers to visit Anglim for a highly palatable, wine-centric experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent sampling the wines of Anglim. We limited ourselves to reds, and they were outstanding. Their blends are remarkable and the pinot noir is a revelation. Stephanie Anglim is an invaluable guide to both her own wines and the best points of this area. The tasting room is a bit out of the way, but as the Michelin guide would put it, well worth a trip

Steve is a wonderful winemaker and never disappoints with his expert abilities of making some of the areas best Rhone varietals. Steffanie makes the tasting room very welcoming fun experience.

I've already been here twice, and I really enjoyed the wine. The owners who were working there are really nice and friendly. I think they have some of the best wines in the Paso Robles area compared to other wineries we did tastings at.

They have a parking lot if you want to drive there. It's also just a 5 minute walk from the Downtown City Park area. If you take the Amtrak train, it is right next to the Paso Robles train stop.

My wife and I liked this place so much that we ended up doing a wine tasting event for about 25 people. Everyone there had a great time and enjoyed the wine. The owners were super nice and organized. Steffanie was pouring the wines and explaining the details of each wine. She was very charming and easy to talk to. She made sure everyone at our event was well taken care of.

I highly recommend doing a tasting here and I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Having reviewed tasting rooms in Paso Robles this one stood out due to its location. On the day of our visit we were greeted by Stephanie - as well as tasting the wine we were provided with some detail on the vineyard and growing process in addition to some tasting information - more enjoyable that other tasting rooms in town.
The history of the location of the tasting room is fascinating and added to our experience.
Well worth a visit!

This was the first winery that we were planning to visit mostly because the winery is in town and the hours were convenient but the wine information wasn't bad either.

Turned out to be one of the best decisions. We were met by Stefanie Anglim who had helped us with tasting and explaining the wines that they make and the way they grow the grapes, which is probably the first one I've been to that does dry farming. Tried the usual suspects Viognier, Grenache, Mourvedre, Zin, but we liked the Syrah and Petit Sirah the best the initial spicy "hit" and the long lasting pleasant aftertaste make it one of the best single grape wines I've tasted in a long time.

I think that visiting this winery is a must for anyone in Paso even though it's sort of hidden away even for a local landmark like the train depot. And if you're not careful you might miss one of the better experiences in wine country.

Have stopped three every year for the last three years and always enjoy our visit. This is located just off downtown at the old train depot and is a tasting room. This is not a large vineyard operation. It is a family business and the owner has been there each visit. The wines are in the mid price range and they are excellent. They have some specials. Yesterday with a purchase of twelve bottles you received a Magnum for just a penny. There were three Syrah selections and it was hard to choose as they were all fantastic.

We stopped late afternoon and then headed to the downtown area a few blocks away for dinner.

Picked up two cases and had a very enjoyable visit.

Wines have been really great each time we visit. We love the Rhone wines - Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah individually and together (GSM). Also Pinot Noirs! Everything is great and typically Stephanie will be in the tasting room to help you!

This is my favorite "in-town" tasting room, even though it is a bit out of the way. One of our best trips was on the Amtrak from San Francisco, we arrived in Paso, and immediately visited Anglim whose tasting room is adjacent to the train station! I have met the winemaker, his wife, and their child at the tasting room. Their wines are great, and it is a wonderful tasting experience. My wife and I belong to may wine clubs, Anglim is not on the list, but the next time we drop one, they will be. Their offerings are really, really good. We especially liked their Grenache, Mourvedre, ZSM, Vigonier-Rousanne, and dessert wine
