Beautiful park in the middle of town with charming shops and restaurants around it. Memorial Day weekend Golden State Classic Car Show is a must see! Very much missed is the Friday night cruise down Spring Street on the Friday night before the Saturday car show! It’s a shame the city isn’t more supportive with helping out the club which was enjoyed by families, car enthusiasts and people of all ages!

Such a pleasant downtown . Most of it surrounds the City Park which is about two or three blocks long and a block wide. Very well maintained, Lots of trees for shade. Picnic benches. A playground, Horseshoe pits. City Museum and clean restrooms.

Parking adjacent to the park is free for two hours though you do need to enter your license plate in a "pay"machine. Machines are located on most corners and elsewhere along the sidewalk surrounding park.

This park is literally the town center. It is where people meet up , hear music, play with their children on the recreational playground, and walk their dogs. Lined with restaurants and stores - it is a fun place to be!

Just a short walk from our hotel was the Paso Robles City Park a perfect place to take a break under the shade of its beautiful trees from our day of gallivanting around the countryside wine tasting. As the park is surrounded by bars and restaurants many people enjoyed food taken from these facilities and eaten on the park benches, while watching their children play in the park's play zone.
All the walkways throughout the park are very clean and well-lighted at night, as are the Parks public WCs.
Located in the center of the park in the old 1908 Carnegie Public Library, is a History Museum.
Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, we were unable to gain entrance to this tiny Museum, which until 1995 was a working public library, today its books are located in a more modern building just a few hundred yards away.
There is a bronze statue to Ignacy Jan Paderewski outside the museum, the Polish pianist, composer, and 3rd Prime Minister of Poland, who planted Zinfandel on his Rancho San Ignacio, near Paso Robles.
There is a gazebo-style bandstand where, often on a Thursday evening during the summer. concerts in the park are performed.

TIP: Be sure to read the signs posted around the park, or you will end up with a ticket. If you’ve found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up below

Beautiful Green space. Plenty of room to throw out a blanket or a towel and catch the sun. Play park for the kids. Immaculately clean and well-lighted. there are some beautiful trees for shade and there is plenty of open space. Convenient parking around the periphery of the park, but be sure to read the signs or you will end up with a ticket.

A stretch of green in the center of Paso Robles. Long line of garbage containers spoils a moderately maintained space. Not interesting at all.

Thinking of an Americana town of old? This is it! The only thing missing is the town government building around the park....it's just a block away.

The traditional old city square is rare in California, but a nice place for locals and visitors alike. High daytime temperatures make it a better evening activity, as you stroll to digest your dinner from one of the dozens of restaurants on the streets surrounding the park. A problem with a vagrant was quickly resolved with a swift police response.

We went to the very good city park in central downtown Paso Robles.

On Friday night, they had dinner in the park. It was also a great place to watch impressive old cars and trucks drive by.

There is lots of green grass, gazebos, city areas, and a museum.

On Saturday we also went to the Farmers Market.
