About
The Glunz family story started in 1871 when Louis Glunz, age 17, left his country of Germany in pursuit of the American dream. Louis arrived in Ellis Island that year with friends Oscar Meyer and Theo Koshswersmill. The three moved from city to city in search of work until they arrived in the boomtown of Chicago in 1872. The American Dream was realized in 1888, with a business loan from Charles Wacker, when Louis Glunz was able to set up a shop as a wine, beer and spirit merchant on Wells Street and Division Street on the northside of Chicago. Today, the 4th generation of the Glunz family produced award winning wines in Paso Robles. Stop in the tasting room for a complimentary tasting any day of the week from 10am to 6pm.

We joined their wine club last year and were impressed with the wines we tasted; we love red wine and their selection is wonderful! The ambience, location, and service was spot on! The outdoor space was delightful and the folks are friendly and accommodating.

Glunz Family Winery was a highlight of our college girls trip to Paso Robles. Three generations of Glunz family members were on site for our visit and even the grandchildren were helping show us around the winery. It was clear that great care is taken by the family to create not just excellent wines, but an approachable and laid back atmosphere. The owners make you feel at home as they are showcasing their wine and property. This is a must visit winery in Paso Robles if you are looking for delicious cabernet and other big reds in a warm and welcoming setting.

Steve is a great guy that knows his wines. We stopped in early in the day and enjoyed the wines that were served. Purchased the red and white sangria's to take home and enjoy on these hot days. Love all the history that the Gluntz family has kept and has on display.

We have enjoyed many of the wines offered at Paso Robles. We have been visiting Glunz for many years. The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The wines are beyond great. We are club members here...that's how much we love it. You will as well.

Our family visited the Glunz winery in July and had a great time. The outdoor area was great, the tasting room was nice and the wine was excellent. We loved the lack of pretension and laid back style.

Set right along the 46 Highway - easy to get to. Some good wines, and a pretty location. Worth a stop.

What a great find and well worth your time to visit. The charm, warm welcome and family heritage are pinnacle to your visit impressions of this winery. The wines are superb and the port is out of this world. A must have for any special occasion or evening by the fire. You may spend as little or as much time need to enjoy the atmosphere and earthy zinfandel, sangria and port!

We visit Paso area Wineries several times a year. We wanted somewhere different and New and looked at TA reviews & finally settled on trying GLUNZ. So glad we did.

Our server Sarah was so friendly and engaging. We enjoyed most of the Wines and the Sangria. Our tasting fee was waived upon purchase. They have family memorabilia all over the tasting room, and Sarah filled in the blanks with their interesting history. We even met one of the Sibling owners who was quite friendly too. They have a pretty outdoor area with seating and a fountain.

GLUNZ is a refreshing change from the more well known wineries and definitely worth a visit on a PASO tasting room day ! Oh and the Sea salt chocolates you get to taste with their Port are AMAZING ! I Just wish they sold them as well.
