I wouldn't go out of my way to see this but if you are the campus the view from the tower is nice and gives a good idea of the Stanford Campus and surrounding Silicon Valley. The building also has a museum dedicted to Herbert Hoover.

The views from the Hoover Tower are amazing, especially on clear blue sky days like we had yesterday. We could see all the way to San Francisco. Great views of the Stanford campus. $4 admission. Elevator to the top. Lot of historical information about the Hoover Presidency. Worth the trip.

I can recommend this site, both for its beautiful views of the area but also for the small exhibit about President Hoover. The staff was excellent, well informed and very friendly. I can really recommend asking them questions! Very fun and helpful group.

The tower may seem like just another tower but it isn't. The guides are excellent and the stories they tell are worth listening to. The view of Stanford is exhilarating . You leave the tower tour with a wow feeling

Open during the day and worth the small fee to go to the top for a 360 degree view of Stanford University and the surrounding area. On a clear day you can see the buildings of San Francisco. Bring binoculars. Once on top you can stay as long as you want. There are a couple of rooms at the base... More

During a recent visit to San Jose - Monterey area, we wanted to visit the Stanford campus. We were not disappointed in this gorgeous campus. We did not go inside the tower, but the architecture is great.

I still remember the amazing view of Stanford from the top. The tower is beautiful. There is a big bell at the topmost floor. Which rings on special day.
