Along with the amazing view of the Stanford campus. The waiting area is also interesting- it tells the story of the Hoover family and their travels.

The Hoover Tower is a very beautiful Stanford Landmark!! This is a very place on campus. What I also love about the Hoover tower is you can see it way across campus.

For a small fee ($4), you can ride the elevator to the top of the Hoover Tower for 360 degree views of the entire Silicon Valley and Stanford campus. You can see all the way to San Francisco on a clear day. The guide/helpers up...More

For a small fee you ride the elevator up 9 floors to get a sweeping view of Stanford Campus and the communities surrounding. Just beautiful! As an added benefit, you also see the impressive carillon bells (overhead) and console. You can Google Hoover Tower Carrilon...More

A must see on top for the greatest view of Stanford University campus & its surrounding area. You can also see the Golden Bridge from here with clear skies. Rich in history!

We were there on the weekend, an there was a lot of parking on campus. We parked near the visitors center. but there were many places closer. But I do not know about the permits required.
