Palm Canyon was a pretty hike. The first mile was the best part, covered oasis, the next couple of miles is exposed with pretty views of the mountains. Murray Canyon is where it is at though! Gorgeous hike through covered areas, beautiful rocks, jumping through and walking streams. Sandals were appropriate, water felt great.

We hiked the Palm Canyon trail from the main parking area in a clock wise direction. Boy, it was hot and there was some uphill to make the loop. Anyway, if you follow the loop up the ridge, the views and wildflowers are wonderful. This and surrounding trails are on the Aqua Caliente Band of the Cahuilla Indians land but... More

I was reluctant to pay to go for a hike but it was well worth it. There are many hiking trails to choose from. We did the Palm Canyon trail to Victor, I would have loved to do more but we only had a few hours. The wildflowers are blooming and the cacti are starting to bloom, wonderful. I have... More

We hiked Palm Canyon and the ridge trail last week and the wild flowers and cactus were just starting to bloom. If you can hike in the next couple of weeks you will be able to experience the desert flowers in bloom. Something that hasn't happened during the years of little rain here in California

Unusually, it had rained the night before and the river was too high to cross without getting soaked. There was a shop and toilets. The ranger answered questions and led some walks. There were several walks starting from the parking area.

my wife and I went for a hike on a Sunday morning right when they opened and had the trails to ourselves. We took a wrong turn and ended up on the expert trail up the canyon and finally retreated after climbing to the top of a mountain! Very invigorating

We were deciding between here and Joshua Tree and we decided to come here because it was closer and less expensive. I wasn't too pleased about paying $9 per person to get in but really, it was well worth it. The trails are easy to follow. The ranger gave us some nice advice to make our hike more enjoyable. There... More

If you enjoy nature and hiking, don't think you must travel far from Palm Springs to get a pretty amazing experience. Indian Canyons is at the bottom of S. Palm Canyon drive. There are 4 separate areas, three of which are accessible with one admission fee per person. Indian Canyons are part of the Coachella valley aquifer, theres lots of... More

We walked some of the trails but my wife was concerned about snakes (rattlers) and scorpions. We didn't see any wildlife but she was nervous the entires time. I was more relaxed and enjoyed the hike

Well worth hiking, desert nature at its best. Good advice given by guides, eg: sensible shoes, wear a hat and carry water.
