Rode the tramway to the mountain station at Mt San Jacinto at the 8500 foot elevation. The temperature was a cool 74 degrees which was a relief from the 115 degrees inferno below. First went up the mountain in the old tram cars in 1964....More

It is amazing that the car turns as you go up. The problem was the fact that the couple I was standing next to kept trying to stay where they were and not move along with the rotating floor. It was good to do once...More

The tram ride itself was worth it--the floor rotates! This was a great way to enjoy a beautiful day--20 degrees cooler than the desert floor. The hikes are easy or you can take longer ones, and there are great views along the way. Some decent...More

You must do this trip at least once in your life. The views on the way up and at the top are fantastic. Tip, if you are afraid of heights head to the center of the gondola and just look straight ahead. The gondola slowly...More

Beautiful ride up (the inside of the tram car turns! so you get a view of all around. Much cooler high up. Nice museum exhibits and a restaurant, too. The food was tasty but pricey, which is probably due to the fact they have to...More

Honestly, it is kind of obnoxious. The fact that it turns, isn't air conditioned (was there during a heat wave) and cost what it did made it kind of a "meh" experience. The views were nice and I would recommend to do it at least...More

This is an amazing piece of engineering and the actual tram car rotates 360 degrees as you go up and down. The views are amazing. The walk around the park at the top is great way to spend and hour or two. There was still...More

The tramway is a great way to escape the summer heat of Palm Springs. It is also a fun and unique experience to share with those friends who are visiting from out-of-town. In the winter months you can travel to the 8500 ft station to...More

I think the previous answers will be very helpful for you. Check the website. I recommend if you're not hiking to go later in the afternoon to see the view going up, then come down at dusk to see the lights of the city.

You will still have a good view of the mountain you are ascending. You may not be able to see far into the valley. It is an experience in anyway.

Take it. The Tram takes you up fast but there are two or three air bumps. It rotates very slowly. Very beautiful up there so if your men's to not have side effects, then take it if you feel very worried about this.
