This is a must do if visiting Palm springs. The tramway itself was great but the stunning walk around the forest made our day. Squirrels, birds and majestic mountains.

We took the tram intending to hike up to the peak, but there was still too much snow. However, we hiked around to the viewpoints and enjoyed the scenery. The tram ride was pretty cool too.

A must do in palm springs. Stunning vistas, fun ride up, 360 views for everyone in the tram. All different levels of hiking available at the top.

As someone who is afraid of heights, I knew what to expect from the Aerial Tramway. Usually, I positioned myself with my back turned away from the bottom so that I don't have to see how high we are going. If I'm distracted, I won't get scared. What I didn't expect was the whole cabin slowly spinning as we ascended,... More

My family and I visited on 03/25/17. Such a fun trip! They have 1 of 3 rotating trams in the world. The others are located in Mt. Titlis (Switzerland) and Cape Town (South Africa). The whole process was pretty streamlined - from buying tickets, to parking, to getting the kids (and stroller) onto the tram, etc. First, the tickets. My... More

If there is one thing that tops the list of things to do in Palm Springs this is it. I had seen and gotten tickets for this on-line (find the You Tube video), and it is so far superior to the hype and pictures that I cannot even tell you how great it was. The ride up the mountain is... More

Most experiences in Palm Springs have little to no wait, especially if you're flocking to sunshine in the winter. Same goes for the Tramway. Taking it to see the sunset means you must take it hours before sunset since there is but one tramway car that shuttles to and from, and the closer to the sunset you get the more... More

You get on the tram and it does slowly turn so you get a panaramic view. Please know this does go almost straight up. It is like a ski lift but much not at a angle. It takes about 10 min to go up. It is cold on top so bring a light coat. The view is spectacular.

Not to be missed!!! Could not believe we had never done this in all the years we had been visiting the area.. magnificent views and hiking at the top. Of course, our picture perfect weather only added to the beauty. Can be very cold and windy up there, but we had a gorgeous sun filled day with no wind. All... More

As a corporate pilot I take people places and then sit and wait for them to finish their business and then take them home. The tram and associated hiking trails was a great way to spend a waiting day. It was about a 10-15 minute drive from the down town area, so not far at all. It's not free so... More
