My youngest daughter loves Giraffes and so I planned to visit the Living Desert. She was not disappointed!!! We all actually had a great time at the living desert! Its like a zoo but in a way more intimate. We got to walk around and see various African and American animals. My girls got to ride a camel and of... More

I was very reluctant visiting a Zoo in the Desert . This is our favorites of all the Zoo's . We enjoyed so much the outdoor natural surroundings . Looks like God knows more than man the perfect environment for these animals . The mountains in the background along with the goats on the rocky hills to the Giraffe's ,... More

I visit this area for a few weeks every year. I start most mornings with an hour or two walk here. I love it here! I never get tired of the scenery.

Spent a great morning at this combination botanical garden and a interesting zoo. If you like cactus, palm and other desert fauna, you are going to enjoy this. The animals in the zoo are a perfect blend of local and African desert animals. You only need two hours and as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The kids will like... More

We went here as a short side trip. It was interesting and not too crowded. There was desert flora and fauna, along with other animals (lions, giraffes, etc.).

Kids loved feeding the giraffe and riding the camel. The grounds are pretty and kept nice and clean. Thought we were going to be blown away - we weren't but it was nice and we would recommend. The show was a little disappointing. The "actors" were good, but the animal tricks were just ok.

This living museum is about a variety of deserts around the globe. There are several gardens with the variety of plants you would find in these deserts. There are also many animal species that live in the deserts as well. I was impressed with the Desert Bighorn habitat. This was also the first time I saw a Sand Cat from... More

Had a fun and educational afternoon watching the giraffes feed and viewing lots of african animals and desert plants and cacti. Lots of walking and pretty hot, but still enjoyed ourselves. This would be especially good for little ones with the butterfly garden, big operating miniature train display, and different animals.
