Can't believe we were here previously and we did not discover this gem! We spend 4.5 hours enjoying the animal hospital exams and the keepers chats, giraffes feeding, and the baby Leopard. And of course the cheetahs runs and feeding. Every imaginable desert plant with descriptions and interpretive signage. Best for parking and comfort to be there right at 9:00... More

A must stop if traveling through the area. A respite from long travels on the interstate. Absolutely beautiful gardens mixed in with the animals. Makes this desert area come alive.

Came with my husband and daughter mainly to feed the giraffes. I've been before but this time there were so many volunteers that had so much information to share. Love that there are so many senior adults giving their time to share their love of these amazing animals. Feeding the giraffes is always an amazing opportunity. We will definitely be... More

So glad we visited this place! It feels more like a conservation area than a zoo. Being up close and feeding carrots to a 16 foot tall giraffe is worth the price of admission. Very educational as well.

this zoo was easy to follow the map and get around. Staff on hand in places to answer any question you might have about the animals. We actually learned from them and the info was interesting. You can feed the giraffes carrots for a small fee. You stand in line and wait your turn to feed them. Check the feeding... More

Best thing about this zoo was the 'living' aspect, all the gardens and wildlife. We also enjoyed having animals in very nice enclosures, and easily visable. An excellent zoo and gardens.

We enjoyed about 3 hours taking in the animals and flora at this extensive venue. There are many exotic animals from both Africa and North America, with amp,e signage to give. You a good understanding of what you're looking at. It was nice to learn that this park has helped in the saving of several previously endangered species. Tip: Definitely... More

Great walking area. Feed the giraffes if you get there at the right time. The model train exhibit near the entrance is cool -- even though it's not related to the animals. We've been so many times, we try to alter our route so we see something new each time. Kids love to play the drums in the African area... More
