My family of two seniors, two adult couples and a one year old. The grandchild was oroblably a bit young for this. Liked a few things but too much time in between for her. The Gekko playground is nice and desert-related but she is too young. My husband could not have seen as much as he did if we hadn't... More

We enjoyed visiting this very much, even as 2 adults. The zoo and gardens are well designed. We especially liked the cactus gardens and wished we were there when they were in bloom. The train exhibit is outstanding.

This is a must see activity when visiting the area. A great educational experience for people of all ages. Bring plenty of water and try to visit in the morning hours as to avoid the extremities the desert can deliver at the peak of the day. They do honor AAA discount if you are a member.

The zoo has an African section and a North American section. A large number of animals and many I've never seen at any other zoo. There are lots of extra activities to do for a reasonable cost. Camel ride was $6 and my 5 year old and husband loved it. The giraffe feeding was cool for $5 - but it... More

Our family has been visiting the Living Desert Zoo regularly for over 10 years and each visit gets better. If we lived in the area, we would certainly take advantage of the yearly membership and would volunteer! Go often, go early in the day and love the animals, the vegetation, the views and the something special you discover each time.....

This is an excellent attraction for both young and not-so-young. We recommend a whole day. Less than a whole day will result in missing some of the very informative live presentations. Some presentations are clearly designed for children but are still worthwhile for teenagers and adults. We were especially taken with the cheetah presentation.

Brought my sister here for her bday just to feed the giraffes. Didn't expect that we both would enjoy strolling around the entire park. So much to do and see. They had the nicest animal habitats I've seen out of many zoos I've visited. Highly recommended! Road the camels too.

You can easily spend a half day here. They have a really nice zoo and it is also a botanical garden. There are also some nice hiking trails, for either a short or long hike. A must see if you are in the area.

I enjoy zoos that aren't too big, and this one was just the right size. It's divided into two sections: North America and Africa. You can choose to do one section or both, and both can be done in a couple of hours. The exhibits are nice and it is very clean. It has a nice desert setting with native... More
