We've been coming here for many years and it's always a pleasure! Our children grew up enjoying it, now we take our grandchildren. Our most recent trip was with 3 of our granddaughters, they loved watching the sea lions following us!

My husband was in a conference and my son and I were on our own. We walked to Balboa Island and took the ferry to Balboa Peninsula. We enjoyed the ferry ride and the walk on Peninsula.

We took the ferry as pedestrians and it only cost us $1 per person! If you are taking a car, it is $3 (2 passengers). It is a quick, low cost and efficient way to get from one side of the bay, to the other.

Great three car plus passenger service. Friendly and professional. Both my grandfather and my dad piloted them back in the day.

It's a beach town so the streets are somewhat narrow but very easy to drive on.
