We went everyday to fill our refillable water bottles. I was mesmerized by the opportunity to drink water directly from a spring. The park itself is filled with locals and transients all there to enhance your journey.

Came here 4 or 5 times during our 3 day trip to get the fresh spring water from the Sacramento River headwaters! Refill your bottles here, don't waste your money on buying them. It is as good as Crystal Geyser, they have their factory here!...More

Love stopping here on my annual camping trip to fill up on the spring water, take a walk in the wood and hear local music. The waters come from the mountain and pass through the rock and soil to break through as the headwaters of...More

Great view of Mt. Shasta. Major barbeque pits with tables. Bath rooms nearby. Plenty of parking. Plenty of open grass.

Interesting park enclosed in the woods with lovely grounds and tables suitable for picnics. The spring that flows on the northern end of the park is said to be the headwaters of the Sacramento River and provides water that people trap in plastic containers for...More

Love this park! The sacred, healing headwaters of the Sacramento River; the paths over the bridge, through forest and glen. Beautiful place for scenic and people pictures.

Lovely creek at the headwaters. It was so cooling on the hot day that we were able to stroll around the paths.

Mount Shasta is a beautiful place to visit with many beautiful locations. This park felt tired, a bit on the shady side, and had none of the wholesome fresh feel nature usually has. We spent five minutes there. Saw the spring. Unimpressed. Left.

If you don't want a big hike up a trail to Shasta, you can see the mountain and follow the small trails around the park. We had a little dog and my wife thought she heard a bear so we made it a short visit,...More

It's accessible. There are gentle slopes that may require muscle with a wheel chair but not bad. You will have to have someone else get the water from the source but you will be able to view it easily.
