We were exploring the area while staying in nearby Dunsmuir when we happened on this lake. We paid a $2.00 entry fee and drove through a nice campground down to the lake. There is an awesome view of Mt. Shasta over the lake and when...More

Very pleasant surprise ~ lots to do, picnicking, hiking, biking, swimming, playing in water toys. Renting boats of all kinds. Awesome view of Mt. Shasta. We'll have to return when we have more time.

We stumbled on this gorgeous lake when we were killing time waiting for some mechanical repairs to be made on our RV trailer. We definitely want to come back and spend time camping at the campground ($41/night for RVs w/hook-ups) and we want to bring...More

My wife and I visited in early August, and it was quite warm, with daytime highs running into the mid-90s. I suspect the water was refreshing. We were there to hike around the lake, not for swimming or boating, both of which are options. If...More

Beautiful lake, very close to Mt. Shasta. This is a great lake for fishing and swimming. They have a beach area that people can lay out and swim. You can rent boats there as well. This lake is great even if you don't have a...More

We visit Lake Siskyou every year in August. This year is exceptionally hot but the cool lake water keeps us sane. Camp staff are friendly and helpful, camp is clean and well cared for. The camp store carries ice, soft serve cones, and sundries. A...More

This info would help. They only except cash. The rude lady told us we could use the credit card system for the $2 that is normally for the resort customer only, but it would be $50-.-... so we had to drive back to town to...More

This was one of the best lake experiences we've had. The scenery is stunning, with Mount Shasta towering in full view. The boating vendor had plenty of kayaks to rent. We had a nice cruise around our side of the lake which had several little...More

If you are not fond of swimming, kayaking or sunning (I am not), the lake still provides a wonderful opportunity for a great, easy walk. There are various starting points with lots of parking. Across from the tennis courts or a bit further across the...More

As promised, I was near there today & checked with the staff. They do not permit jet skies on the lake. They have other boating options but not what you are after. Hope this helps!
