We went on a whale watching tour with Sub Sea tours and it was so great! We would have been happy to have seen one or two whales from a distance, but the expert crew on the boat guided us towards the middle of a whole group of whales, which took about an hour sailing. It was one of the... More

We booked the morning trip - had breakfast in the diner at the harbour and watched the sea otters. The Captain and his mate were really enthusiatic, knowledgeable and entertaining - which made the trip great. We spotted humpback whales and followed at a respectful distance. Just before we headed in, we came to within about 20 feet of two... More

We were staying at San Luis Obispo and wanted somewhere close by to Whalewatch. Booked this on the net the night before. When we arrived my heart sank because there was a real sea fog. We could hear sealions in the harbour but could not see them through the mist. Whilst waiting we saw a couple of sea otters .... More

Great whale watching trip. We took the afternoon excursion since the morning trip was booked. We checked at 10:30 to see what the weather and water appeared to be. Everything was calm and clear. However, by the time we left 2 hours later a layer of fog had rolled in and a little chopiness had begun. The crew did a... More

Had THE best time whale watching out of Morro Bay last Sunday, 9/25/2016. Saw all kinds of whales, seal lions, birds. Were so close to the whales we could hear them breathing! I can't stop telling people about what an awesome trip we had. Can not WAIT to get back!

Whale watching at it's best. Ended up having the seals and whales all around us at about 5 miles out! Personnel was awesome and real informative about all the wildlife. Definitely a must when in the area. Price real reasonable

We wanted to just chill out for 45 mins so took this tour around the bay. It is reasonably priced and they show around some lions, sea otters and buildings, Morro rock and coastal buildings. It is unique because you can go down in the boat and see fishes from glass window, so this small boat allows both upper deck... More

Everyone here was super laid back and friendly. I'm used to pushing off right from the beach, but they were really helpful with getting us into and out of the kayaks off the dock. Reasonably priced and good equipment.

This was worth the expense. The boat trip takes you about 7 miles out into the Pacific Ocean on a hunt to find the humpback whales that feed off the California coast in summer. Whales are wild animals and the Pacific is huge, so I guess Sub Sea Tours cannot guarantee anything, but on the day we went, we were... More
