Morro Bay Golf Course is often referred to as “Poor Man’s Pebble Beach” and is a “must play”. The course offers stunning panoramic ocean views from just about every hole. This “player-friendly” 18-hole public course has tree lined fairways and hilly terrain placing a premium on club selection.

we normally stop here in November on our drive down to Palm Springs but were unable to this year. Lucky for us the rains stopped long enough to play in February. This course has great drainage so it is never soggy. The views are fantastic and the course is in excellent shape. Be aware that all the putts will roll... More

This is the bargain of the century, about $25, but another $18 per person for cart rental. The greens are top quality and roll true. Tee boxes need some work, but fairways are fairly nice, and pace of play is good!

My husband and I played here on May 6, a Friday and were quite pleasantly surprised the course was not crowded and we were sent off as a twosome. Since we were playing to celebrate our anniversary, this was a nice perk. My husband is an experienced golfer and I am a beginner. This was my first time playing the... More

We spent a wonderful few hours here today. The course was in great shape and the staff and locals were very welcoming and warm. Some local advice really helped to understand how the greens would run - without that advice scores would have soared. The views are wonderful and the course is challenging but fair. Lots of grades but certainly... More

Fun and quite challenging golf at reasonable price. Have played here many times and always enjoyed the course. The views over the ocean are incredible.

We really liked Morro Bay Golf course. It was in good shape, with some long, challenging holes with lots of slope. The only problem was the slow pace of play, and it would have been helpful to have a marshall on the course. But, the views are amazing and we had plenty of time to enjoy them between holes.

When it's not busy, this is a great course to have a leisurely game of golf and see some spectacular views of the bay. If it's busy, expect lots of waiting on the course.

Great views of the bay! Course is kept in great shape, only tricky part is the fast, sloppy greens. They can be tricky, very tricky. Overall loved golfing here.

I'm not a great golfer and maybe that's one reason I love this course. The views are magnificent from the course and the course is challenging to a mid level golfer. Many of the holes are long but there are not that many obstacles (bunkers and water) on the course. Also, I don't know if this is true all the... More

Not that long but a really nice course with good and tricky greens - most break towards the ocean! Fairways ok given the recent lack of rain. Good value and they also rent clubs You can see the bay from nearly every hole.
