You can take it from Lover's Point in Pacific Grove (one end) through Monterey and out to Sand City, Seaside and to Marina, and be totally OFF-THE-ROAD (no cars) for about 15 miles each way. Riding along Monterey Bay is always beautiful and further north, you... More

This is a lovely bike/hike trail which follows the monterey bay. I hiked from the plaza in monterey to Lovers Point in Pacific Grove and it was a beautiful sunrise walk.

Carol and I like to exit Highway 1 at the Del Rey Oaks exit and park in the public lot at the beach, we then cycle South on the trail through Monterey to Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. On the way back we stop at the Wharf Market Place and get some freshly grilled Fish tacos and a couple of... More

We ran this trail and it was great. The paths are wide enough to make it easy to work with the walkers and bike riders and the views are phenomenal.

This biking/walking trail is all paved and there is limited interaction with vehicles, although in the city area there are a number of well-marked crosswalks you have to ride across. Vehicles were invariably observant of the crosswalk and would stop for you. The trail runs almost to Castroville on the north side, and to Lover's Point in Pacific Grove on... More

If you're wanting some exercise and the ability to enjoy the views without all the congestion, this is an ideal place to stretch your legs. Plus our hotel had back card key access which... More

We walked this trail from beach to beach during our stay in Monterey. Oh, the people and dogs we saw. Plus seals, seal lions, sea otters, and whales.

We walked a long way on this trail which runs along Monterey Bay. We saw harbor seals and sea otters in their natural habitat. We also talked to a wildlife guide who was very informative.
