We stopped here on the way to dinner to let the kids play. Our three grandchildren loved it. They went from one fun thing to another. We cheered the oldest as she tried the rock climbing wall. We read about the history of the park...More

Nice playground, park and lake. Kids will have fun at the playground and adults can walk around the lake or picnic in the park. It is centrally located in downtown Monterey.

A must do for families in the Monterey area. Easy to access on the way in to town or out of town before a long drive or a destination all of it's own for kids to explore.

I came a few years ago and the kids loved it. We came back Labor Day weekend and the kids still had a blast. I noticed this time around that 98% of the park was the same but more run down with wear and tear....More

Cute little park with Denis the menace theme. The old train was the coolest thing there. OK I suppose if you have kids and a need to let them play. Otherwise skip it.

Great place to visit with kids. We really liked the variety of slides, ladders, and swings for kids of all ages. Great views and the history of the park was interesting. The only downside was the sand, we were pouring it out of shoes for...More

We visit this park every year when we're in Monterey. My kids can spend hours running and playing on all of the cool equipment.

Spent some time with kids aged 4-11, and everyone enjoyed it. I saw plenty of older kids playing nicely with younger kids here, too. Lots of tween and teen older siblings--and there was stuff for them to enjoy, too. Nicely laid out, plenty of variety,...More
