This was a small pier, it had several restaurants, and shops,a very touristy. But a great place to take kids to see all the boats.

Well Fisherman's Wharf is very commercial now.The clam chowders is very good from all the restraunt's on the wharf, and is the real reason we always come back. Its just a must stop for us. If you want the very best dinning look elsewhere.Don't get me wrong the food is good in most of these restraunt's but for near the same price... More

Took the Princess Whale Watch Cruise. 🐳🐳🐳Fortunately we saw whales, it was pretty choppie but that can't be helped it's the ocean!!! I appreciated the employees they watched the people some were a bit sea sick and they kept checking on them. There was someone on the PA telling about the things we were seeing. It was a good morning.... More

It's a bit grubby and cheap. Restaurants trying to punch their clam chowder on you, junk food shops and some cheap amusement shops. It's not worth the visit.

It was raining but we enjoyed the smallness of the pier. Great street foods offered by the local shops, or plenty of great restaurants too. We spent most of the day enjoying the shops, and views.

It was a very windy day when we were here in November. It was sunny but really not a lot to see. We just drove around and went to the end of the Wharf. One person doing some fishing. Very quiet day.

A popular spot, for a reason. Tourist priced dining fare, but the several that we tried were good quality. If you want a chocolate and marshmallows covered candy apple, apparently this is the place. Has numerous watching tour options, and is close to Cannery Row and the aquarium.

This is the area that all the cruise ships come to, this is tender port. The first thing you see when you leave the tender is wall to wall seafood places. The dock is about 1000 ft long and is lined on both sides with restaurants and shops. Some of the best seafood in California.

If you are in Monterey, then this area is a must see! It's a great little stroll. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Yes it is touristy, but that is part of the fun. We watched a sea lion swimming in the Bay while we ate dinner one night! It's a fun couple of hours plus dinner if you choose.
