The food in the area is very good and the aquarium for its size is about the best we have been to. The grandkids love it. hanging out at the beach its a great place for kids to swim and explore the rocks

The cypress trees and beautiful colors in the water make this coastline one of a kind. A must see if you're coming to visit California!

Lovely area to just stroll along or hop in the car and just cruise around. Spotted so much wildilfe - seals, otters etc....Very beautiful and peaceful.

People travel worldwide to paint, photograph, and write about the amazing central California coast. It is one of the most beautiful places to be behold. Our family is blessed to have grown up close enough to make this a regular vacation spot. Bring the camera....More

Had a couple of days after a work conference and stayed in Monterey instead of San Francisco. Great option. Much less crowded. Many good restaurants and shopping options. Even went to Carmel for a retail experience. Consider it.

A beautiful little town great for strolling and shopping. We were fascinated with the multitude of sea lions at the public dock. We spent over an hour there being greatly entertained by these spirited creatures.

when we went on the trip in April we were told the peak months for seeing whales were between may and July including blue whales. Different whales migrate at different time but the peak time is summer.

Can't answer this definitively but we went whale watching late August and saw Blue whales, Hump Backs and Fin Whales which are apparently very rare.

The best trails are in Big Sur, but all the parks are closed due to the fires! Point Lobos is nice, however that may be closed to. East Garrison,or Jacks Peak might be ok right now. Good Luck! And have fun!
