On our Coastal California trip I made it a point to chose one of the million Aquariums dotting the coast from San Diego to San Francisco. based on reviews, I chose Monterey Bay. The aquarium is gorgeous. From the outside to the inside, they've really...More

What were we thinking? It was supposed to be a weekday visit on our Monterey getaway between Christmas and New Years. Oops we calculated wrong. School is out and the place is lousy with jellyfish, sharks and turtles so duh kid invasion. I haven't been...More

Avoid going on the weekend if you can. It was horribly crowded!!! I mean it was bad. It got hot, stinky and extremely personal just to view the see otter feeding. I was unable to ever touch in the touch exhibit because their were never...More

What differs this from other Aquariums is its direct connection to the ocean. Maybe I expected too much after seeing the reviews, the aquarium is smaller than I thought. Literally you can complete all within 30 mins walking through and it costs 50$ /adult and...More

Cool aquarium, but it was a little smaller than I'd thought it would be. Still, glad we went and they have great exhibits.

Monterey Bay Aquarium is a top notch aquarium. They have many exhibits and have fun facts and interactive parts of the exhibit. My only recommendation is to go during the week due to crowds. We loved the tentacle and jellyfish exhibit.

Visited with my wife after visiting on a childhood vacation. The sea creatures were neat to see, but it definitely did not take a full day to make our way through (admittedly probably because we don't have children who would be much more hands on...More

I did not see scooters for rent. Some wheel chairs were available. Very accessible for sure.

Can you still use the San Francisco CityPass for admission to the Monterey Bay Aquarium?

I don't think it is included now. If you want to go to an aquarium it's as well paying the entry fee here because the San Francisco Aquarium on the Bay is so disappointing - even if it is included on the City Pass

Hi, I am sure you can find that out by checking out the cruiseline or google map! Use an uber to get at the aquarium as it is really nice to have been there! Enjoy
