This was my first visit to California and the Pacific. Headlands offers great walking with gorgeous views, interesting geology and is right next to the town of Mendocino. We went in December, when it was mid to upper 50s. Comfortable enough, without the crowds of...More

It was the perfect day for a stroll through the Mendo Headlands... it was sunny with a brisk wind. We meandered our way through showing our 11 month old the splashing waves and sounds of the water. I don’t remember how many miles we did...More

The Headlands are easily accessible and well worth it. Stunning views of beaches, arch rocks just fill your senses. Ocean mist fills you up and coats your face. Seabirds pivot and call and the smell of seaweed fills your lungs. An epic experience!

What a beautiful place. You could spend hours here and never get bored of the views. And even though so many people visit here, it’s so expansive that you can find solitude to take in all the scenery.

Everyone says go south and we have done but I have to say I think north is better. We spent hours walking the headland absolutely breathtaking. We saw whales and seals and beautiful scenery. Couldn’t get enough of it

It's just gorgeous. You can sprawl on the beach. You can stroll. It's just super low key, easy to access, and stunningly gorgeous.
