If you're in Mendocino you have to walk through the park. A morning stroll is wonderful as the day begins and the sun is coming up.

Although the fog prohibited us from an expansive view, the walk along the coast was still spectacular!

I was able to stay with friends who were completing an artist in residency at the Mendocino Art center. I had no idea how lovely this place was going to be. This is a very scenic state park that has free public access. The views of the ocean and the bay are beautiful. However, there is no wheelchair accessibility and the trail around the park is very uneven.

Drove through the Park as we were leaving Mendocino. Stopped several times to take photos. This should be a leisurely sight seeing drive as it is a very twisting and turning road.

Great views. The area is full of really cool different vistas. Lots of dogs all around, including town. Seems to be very dog friendly. Make sure and check out the view towards town, very picturesque. No uphill, all pretty level.

The ocean from the highway gives a grand introduction to the stunning surprises that you will experience once you get out of the car and walk the headlands. The gorgeous rock formations with small coves and curious tall standing birds that resemble emperor penguins from a distance all huddled together are just some of them. We wanted to see whales... The windy Highlands are a most romantic place by the coast . Try to bring a book and relax for a couple of hours there.

Stunning. Easy walk with beautiful views of the rocky California coast, rock arches, caves and the sweet town of Mendocino
